Event Safety — Erie, PA and Northwest Pennsylvania
EmergyCare is proud to support the community by providing medical and non-medical standby coverage for special events, community gatherings, sporting events, health fairs, career fairs, and other activities where on-site EMS coverage may be needed.
We offer this event safety service in Northwest Pennsylvania, including Erie, Corry, Kane, Warren, Greenville, and Titusville, as well as other surrounding areas. See our service area for the complete map.
To enhance your experience and improve coordination, EmergyCare now uses a secure online Standby & Special Events Request Portal for all standby requests.
How to Request a Standby
All requests for community standbys must be submitted through the new online portal.
With the new system, you can:
-
Submit standby requests quickly and efficiently
-
Upload multiple events at once using a convenient template
-
View the status of all submitted requests in real time
-
Receive an upfront estimate of standby-related expenses
-
Update event dates, times, or locations directly in the portal if plans change
Shared Access for Your Organization
If multiple individuals from your organization register using the same facility name and address, all users will be able to view standby requests submitted on behalf of the organization, improving coordination and minimizing duplicate requests.

Scheduling
-
The request should be submitted no later than ONE MONTH BEFORE the requested service date.
-
Commitments will be made based on EmergyCare's geographic service area and staffing availability. Priority will be given to EmergyCare's primary response areas.
-
Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to change the standby date and/or time.
Due to limited resources and an increased volume of standby requests during peak seasons, all standby requests must be submitted at least one (1) month in advance of the event date.
Submission of a request does not guarantee coverage. All standby requests are reviewed and approved based on staffing availability and the geographic location of the event.
Priority for standby coverage will be given to:
-
Events located within EmergyCare’s primary service area
-
Contracted organizations
-
Events with legal or regulatory safety requirements (e.g., Division I sporting events or other mandated EMS coverage)
Requests that fall outside of these priorities may be accommodated when resources allow.
